Due to a number of factors (increased postage costs, exorbitant printing costs, faculty requesting free copies then never adopting them), we are implementing a new policy regarding examination and desk copies, which we think will be equitable for faculty and for us:
- We will continue to provide free desk copies, as always. When your bookstore orders 12 or more copies from us, have them ask us to enclose an extra desk copy and we'll be happy to do so. Or if your bookstore orders from a distributor, have them email us confirmation of their order and we'll send a free desk copy, postage-paid.
- For examination/review copies, we will be happy to send you a PDF facsimile of the book via email at no charge. Please note, we take copyright laws seriously, and this PDF copy is only intended for viewing for the purpose of determining whether to order the book for a course. It is not to be disseminated in any way.
- If you prefer a print copy of the book, we now ask that you purchase a copy at 50% of the book's retail price, plus $3.50 s/h. If you later adopt the book for your course, send us an email and we will send you a refund by check, quickly, painlessly, and without hassle.
