Our Gothic Classics series reprints rare Gothic novels spanning the period between 1790 and 1830. Titles in this series are edited by top scholars in the field and include introductions and notes for modern readers. In some cases, supplementary materials, such as contemporary reviews, are also included. The Gothic Classics series includes a set of the seven "horrid novels" mentioned in Jane Austen's Northanger Abbey, as well as a number of hardcover collector's editions of Gothic novels so rare that they survive in only a handful of copies worldwide.
